I live in the Capital Area of Michigan, and need to find somewhere to recycle a large variety as well as quantity of things and materials. Here are any things & materials which I have to recycle. Please keep in mind that this does not cover every item or material, and any things and materials I am currently able to recycle. Used motor oil, oil containers, used anti-freeze, anti-freeze containers, metal paint cans, oil based paint, latex paint, spray paint – any have paint and others don’t, cell phones, dead batteries from UPS (Uninterpretable Power Supply) units, CD and DVD drives, paper, magazines, news papers, various plastics any with and without recycle category number, speakers, magnets, computers, LCD monitors, CRT TVs, CRT monitors, rear projection TVs, printers, toners, inkjet cartridges, washers, dryers, refrigerators with compressor full (it’s bad for the Ozone to just cut the lines, so don’t suggest that), card board boxes (both layered and flat), fans, various car parts, steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, electric wire (strained and solid), coax (the cable line used for TVs). There is much more that could be listed, however, I feel that this is more than sufficient for giving you a general idea. I’m not a “tree hugger” as many people label others that care about the environment. I just figure why trash it, I have to live here. During times when others may hate to recycle or won’t; I offer to do it for them, hence how I get so much stuff. If it’s any good I will try to sell it or donate it. Profit mostly goes toward my truck for repair and fuel as there is little to no profit to be made. If you know of a companies in the area, or any websites listing information please let me know. Any and all viable information is much appreciated. Several of these things I am already able to recycle. The things and materials listed above are just an example of what I have to recycle. I’m currently able to recycle most metals easily. It’s the other things that are a little harder to move. Once again, thank you for your time and input. J Well, I have, what I believe is apprx, 10 Gal. Of motor oil in sealed containers. I’m not a business. I merely scrap stuff, and keep others from sending it to a land fill or dumping it in the woods. As far as newspaper, I haven’t ever heard of being paid to recycle it. Most containers are empty or close to it. If a container has more than a few drops, I’ll empty it into a larger container. Aware of MSDS. Businesses which are supposed to take back oil when you buy oil generally don’t, hence my current amount. Disposal, rarely will anyone find out what others do. I seen a neighbor dump stuff out back before. Makes me wonder where they think it goes. I didn’t man any offense by saying “tree huger” either, if I have offended anyone I do apologize. I appreciate all help. During times when doing my part, I don’t feel like paying to do what’s right. They can either take it as-is, or I can just put it all in a ton of small bottles and make a trip once a week. Seems that you would be awarded for doing right. Well, I have your answer right here. ~ this is the link to Waste Management. They will take a lot of substances including electronics that others will not take. ,1607,7-135-3307_3666_4135—,00. Html Above is the Link to Michigan DEQ. If you contact them before they contact you, you can do a ‘self-disclosure’ and ask for assistance in getting that cleaned up and in compliance. Many of the things you have listed above are waste or toxic substances that must be disposed of per the MSDS that comes with those products. If you are in business and have all these substances laying around you may be in violation of Environmental Regs at least federally. I don’t know MI Dept of Environmental Quality, but I know if you store toxins on your site, you are required to file your Tier II with your local Fire Department. Any of the substance you have listed if allowed into the ground, will affect the aquifers and your water supply.

As a printer, I need input and advice on four – 4 major topics. 1. What printing services does the average person like you need, so I can develop my products towards the general public and not just businesses? 2. What advertising media, magazines, banners, etc would most attract you to purchase printing services? 3. What are the best and trusted FREE ADVERTISING media outlets that you support to and would trust, subscribe too, and / or purchase from? And, 4. Would you participate in a discounted printing and marketing project, if I was trying out new equipment nd products, so I offered printing services to you at a very much discounted rate ? Also, I am open to suggestions on how printers can improve their services to the general public. Essentially — i’m just a prepress tech, not very good at marketing. . Sorry. . The business I work for is closing down soon though, looking for a prepress tech, production artist or typesetter?. 1. Business cards?. maybe direct mail if i’m a small business owner (although I personally dislike direct mail). . 2. I’d mostly be attracted to a local printer who promoted their business through local newspapers and magazines. . 3. I got no idea. . 4. Heck yeah. . A. I get discounted products and b. You get experience working on new ideas, equipment, materials. . my old boss (who owned and ran a small printing press) used to do the old sales person routine by walking into business and offering his products in person. . In the past 6 years, he’s bought two other area presses. .

I have been in the Information Technology field for 10 years. I ‘ve successfully done everything from server support/setup, help desk, IP phones, PC repair, printers, networking. . You name it. I have professional certifications and also a college degree. I am good at speaking and can also write well. I have been having this enormous itch to travel and also do IT work. Let me explain–I am 55, single, and live in the rural midwest (Nebraska). I have always had a strong interest in other places and other cultures. I was actually a farmer before I got into IT (I still farm on the side), so never had much opportunity to travel. However I have made some trips in connection with my job responsibilities (Las Vegas, Atlanta, Los Angeles) and have found that I really enjoy going to other places and working in the big city. My farming experience has made me very much a self-starting, self-managing, take the initiative, problem solving type of person. I have been steadily employed during the past 10 years at several companies in my area. I am currently working for a very nice family-owned company that pays me fair wages for my area and also treats me quite well. I find myself lately thinking more and more I want to see the wider world out there before I get older and don’t have the opportunity. As I mentioned, I live in a rural area and–while many might consider that idyllic–it does have its drawbacks. I want to do more in life then talk about my kids and what to serve at the church dinner next Sunday and how Nebraska is doing in football. I also find that after 2-3 years at a company, you get rather ho-hum seeing and working with the same people all the time. When I was in the larger cities I mentioned earlier, I found myself thinking “gee it would be great to be doing IT work in these places”. Working for a few weeks or months at one location and then moving on to some other city (or country) to take on another project. So let me ask: Are there jobs in the IT field that would allow me to apply my skills and also travel? If there are, would I regret leaving my current safe, secure (but rather boring) environment? Is it weird for someone my age to get a hankering like this? Thanks for any replies, and if you require more info please ask. From what I can tell… Start an I. T. Consulting company specifically targeted at agricultural businesses. Your farming experience should help there. Many farms and ag industries are “going digital” big time these days. I bet you could go far with a marketing strategy based on, “I’m a farmer from Nebraska, not one of those high priced East Coast consultants. ” Most I. T. Consultants spend a lot of time on the road.
